DE-STRATIFICATION OF AIR IN HEATED ROOMS (WINTER)
Warm air tends to rise and cold air tends to fall downward. In large rooms, when heating is in operation during the winter months, warm air accumulates largely in the upper areas (where it is not needed), and a lot of cold air continues to circulate at the level of the occupants. This effect, called stratification, can come to create a temperature variation of up to 3°C per meter of height.
In a 7-meter-high industrial hall, the air near the ceiling can be up to 21°C warmer than on the ground: wasted heat, energy and money!
Stratofan’s ability to create a slow-moving cone of air incredibly reduces the stratification effect and allows warm air to go where it is needed: around people. The immediate consequence is that your heating system will have to generate less heat, and for less time.
You save on your utility bill, pollute less, and recoup the expense of purchase and installation very quickly. A solution that helps the environment and your business at the same time – what more could you ask for?
COOLING (SUMMER)
Stratofan, during the summer months, works by taking advantage of the body’s natural cooling effect through perspiration, increasing the feeling of coolness exactly like a constant gentle breeze when outdoors.
The presence of even slight and constant air movement can decrease the perceived temperature by up to 6°C.
In a 7-meter-high industrial hall, the air near the ceiling can be up to 21°C warmer than on the ground: wasted heat, energy and money!
Stratofan’s technology, based on aviation-derived airfoil blades, allows the creation of a large cone of air that expands inside the building, creating a continuous exchange of air. There is no other ventilation system that does this more effectively.
Fresh moving air and continuous air changes-your environment will improve significantly right away, and many studies show that productivity, morale, and people’s health are closely linked to the quality of the air around us.
